Honoring Calum

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Ocean Beach, San Francisco

This past weekend, friends and family gathered together around the world to honor the life of Calum Macdonald. Each and every individual that knew Calum has their own unique stories and memories for this remarkable man who touched so many.

To us at Rascal Filbert, Cal was a great friend and creative director; always seeking to break boundaries, learn new things, and make us laugh through our many emails, conference calls, photo shoots and extensive brainstorming sessions. We also made plenty of time to play… trying on silly hats at the 4th Avenue Street Fair, listening to the local bands at the Fall Ball downtown, lunches on the El Charro patio with Exit and some unforgettable dinners at McMahon’s Steakhouse.

Calum was an incredible photographer, artist, and friend. None of us will ever forget the times we shared together and now hold so dear. He has left us a lifetime of beautiful images, both in print and within our hearts, and his legacy will live on forever.
